Carbilux is a very fine GCC, complemented by a relatively steep particle size distribution. These characteristics give exceptional gloss and brightness possibilities in both board and paper coating applications, even at low kaolin levels.
Since Carbilux naturally displays both good brightness and rheological properties it can prove to be highly cost effective when used at high proportions in optimised formulations.
Carbigloss is a calcium carbonate slurry characterised by excellent brightness and rheology. It is particularly suited where high gloss and good opacity are required.
IntraCarb is a dispersion of micronized ground calcium carbonate, and is applied as dedicated filler solutions that provide good retention characteristics, high light scattering and high sheet brightness.
Opti-Cal HB is a PCC filler manufactured under carefully controlled conditions as a scalenohedral form of calcite crystal. The controlled growth produces a range of fine particle sizes and a narrow size distribution.
When used as the primary papermaking filler, Opti-Cal HB ensures high bulk, opacity and brightness. Opti-Cal HB is recommended for use as a filler in both uncoated and coated woodfree papers.
