Ceramics
Artemyn’s minerals are used in a wide range of ceramics applications in various industries where they deliver multiple benefits and advantages:
- whiteness
- opacity
- high alumina content
- refractoriness
- low pyro plastic deformation
- good casting properties

Physical properties
Carbon black is amorphous para-crystalline carbon [C].
- Electrical conductivity
- Resistance to wear
- Insoluble in water
- Reinforcement
- Chemically inert

Tiles and large slabs
Our range of kaolin products used in tile and slab products is valued for its whiteness, its opacity and consistent quality level, which provides outstanding results in white bodies.
As it is almost a pure kaolinite, it offers a very high alumina content and does not include contaminants such as quartz or mica, and provides excellent rheology.
Frits, glazes and engobes
Our range of kaolin products have a high alumina, low iron content and high whiteness which make them a component of choice for frit and glaze products.
Having exceptional purity also makes them a perfect solution for engobe and opaque glazes.

Sanitary ware
Our range of kaolin products are valued in sanitary ware products for their controlled casting properties for bodies which come with good fluidity and a high casting rate.
When used as a glaze, our kaolin grades combine a high kaolinite content with a low chromophore oxide content, and offer a high whiteness level.

Tableware and artware
Our range of kaolin products is an element of choice for tailoring high quality porcelain bodies.
Having high alumina and high whiteness is greatly valued by industrial and hobbycraft tableware and artware manufacturers.
Refractory
Our range of kaolin products have properties that confer outstanding refractoriness and good performance, which make them suitable for a wide range of refractory and cordierite applications, e.g. kiln furniture and catalyst support, where our solutions provide:
- a high alumina
- a differentiated selection of particle size
- low chromophore oxides
- a good casting rate

Electro porcelain
Our range of kaolin products have properties which make them particularly suited for large piece insulators;
- a high alumina content
- low pyro plastic deformation
- a low rate of free quartz particles
- a range of particle size distributions which allow optimized particle packing
