Artemyn Group is committed to the UN Global Compact, and Sustainable Development Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) is one of the nine SDGs the company actively supports.
In 2025, the team focused its social impact efforts on establishing a vital link between communities near its Brazilian mine operation and essential healthcare access, in Ipixuna do Pará municipality, directly supporting UN Sustainable Development Goal SDG 3.8 “achieve universal health coverage and access to safe, effective and quality health-care services for all.
The strategy creates a complementary public health framework through two key initiatives: “Healthy Smile” and “Health in the Community.” These projects combine grassroots prevention efforts targeting children with specialized intervention for adults. The success of this dual approach is measured in tangible results:
Bárbara Almeida, Artemyn’s socioeconomic coordinator, highlights the importance of synergy between initiatives. She observes, “The range of our health actions, from adult care to promoting children’s oral hygiene, clearly demonstrates a commitment that extends beyond our daily operations. We are essentially planting seeds of prevention and care that yield long-term benefits for the community’s quality of life. By bringing previously hard-to-access specialized consultations and exams directly to the people, we are making a direct and positive impact on the health and well-being of families.”
